What We Expect

  • Aptitude for physically demanding but rewarding work
  • Positive, team-oriented attitude
  • 3 hours of weekly training\practice nights
  • A minimum of one Saturday per month

Minimum Qualifications

  • All recruits must be at least 18 years of ageGrass Fire
  • Have a current Alberta Driver's License
  • Drivers Abstract, demonstrating a safe driving record
  • Grade 12 education
  • Pass RCMP Criminal Record Check
  • A willingness to train to NFPA 1001 Level 2 certification
  • No experience is necessary

Application Information

If you are interested in becoming a County POC firefighter, complete the POC Application [PDF - 205 KB] and submit it to the County Fire Service Office. After it reviews the applications, the Fire Service will schedule Physical Demands Testing with potential candidates.
