About the Program

Join professional photographer Keenan Geer for Shutterbugs in the Park: An Introduction to Landscape and Nature Photography. In addition to producing eye-catching images, photography provides many mental and physical benefits, including encouraging mindfulness and connection to the outdoors.

In this course, participants will learn about camera equipment, proper framing and composition and how to edit photos while exploring the beautiful Kleskun Hills landscape. This course is suitable for beginners, or for more experienced participants looking to sharpen their photography skills.

Participants are required to bring the following:

  • Camera
  • Tripod
  • Laptop with editing software (Lightroom, Photos, iPhoto or Capture One). Most software has a 30 day free trial version that can be downloaded prior to the workshop.

Directions to Kleskun Hill Park:

Located 20 km northeast of Grande Prairie on Hwy #43, turn north on Range Road 41 for 4 km. Follow signs to the campground.
