Temporary Payroll Clerk
Human Resources department – CAO Office

Salary:                        $54,350 to $71,834 per year
Schedule:                  35 hours/week, Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. with some additional hours as needed to meet operational timelines
Term:                          Jan. 2018 – December 31, 2018 approx.

We are seeking an individual with excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills to join our Human Resources department as a Temporary Payroll Clerk.

Reporting to the Payroll and Benefits Coordinator, the Temporary Payroll Clerk position is primarily responsible for processing payroll, as well as helping with data entry and administrative duties within the department.

Responsibilities include; but are not limited to,

  • Payroll processing and payroll adjustments;
  • Assisting in preparation of monthly reports, remittance, and payroll journal entries;
  • Assisting in employee/benefit related inquiries;
  • Analyzing and reconciling accounts.

Our ideal candidate will possess:

  • Business, Accounting, or Human Resources Diploma;
  • Two years payroll processing experience;
  • Certification in a payroll designation program, or enrolled and near completion;
  • Capable of working independently and as a part of a busy team;
  • Advanced computer skills with experience in KRONOS, Excel, Word, Outlook and the AS400 environment would be an asset;
  • Ability to prioritize and schedule work projects in order to meet deadlines;
  • Ability to work some additional hours as needed to meet deadlines.
