The County and Watson’s Foto Source are now accepting entries for the 2010 Photos of the County of Grande Prairie No. 1 Contest.
This year’s eligible categories are:
- Scenes of the County – focus on scenes and specific sites located within the County, and
- Creative Photos - which encompass any creative photos taken within the County.
Five photos can be submitted in each category. Photos can be emailed in JPEG format with a minimum resolution of 300 dpi to photocontest@countygp.ab.ca or mail 4” x 6” unframed photos to the County Administration building or Watson’s Foto Source.
Please include your name, phone number and address, where the photos were taken, and any other interesting details.
Entries must be received by Monday, December 6th to be eligible. Amateur photographers given preference County will retain ownership to all photos including the right to publish. Winners will be announced by December 20, 2010.
Entrants will receive a voucher from Watson’s Foto Source to develop a 24-roll of film or 24 digital prints free of charge. A limit of one voucher per individual will apply.
The following prizes will be awarded in each category:
- 1st - Digital Camera valued at $400 - $500 plus $100 worth of photofinishing
- 2nd - $100 plus $100 worth of photofinishing
- 3rd - $50
- 4th - Golf Shirt
- 5th - Denim Shirt
