COVID-19 Information: What is the County Doing?

The County is following the direction of Alberta Health Services (AHS), as the authority on COVID-19 (novel coronavirus) for municipalities.

The Grande Prairie Regional Emergency Partnership (GPREP) has been activated to monitor the evolving situation and put into action any contingency planning and preparation as needed within the Grande Prairie region.

All six partner municipalities, including the City of Grande Prairie, County of Grande Prairie, the Towns of Beaverlodge, Wembley, and Sexsmith, and the Village of Hythe, each declared a State of Local Emergency to support the Province of Alberta’s efforts to combat the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.
