Property Tax Information
In accordance with the Municipal Government Act, the County of Grande Prairie assessment roll is open for public viewing during regular office hours, at no charge. Assessment information is also available through our Online Services.
To pay taxes monthly using the Pre-authorized Tax Payment Plan, complete the Tax Form Preauthorize tax application [PDF - 129 KB].
A Bylaw 3117 - 2019 Property Tax Bylaw.pdf [PDF - 3 MB] is passed annually in conjunction with our budget process. The bylaw establishes the funds required from property taxation to fulfil the budget and the taxation rates for various classes of property.
Pay Your Taxes via Credit Card
You have the option of paying your Taxes with your credit card using our online services. (Please note, a 2.2% fee will be added to your total). Please use OwnerID when prompted for a UserID. When registering for the first time, Please use your Roll Number as the Account Number.

Property taxes are due and payable on the last business day of June. To further accommodate residents, the County office will be open for extended hours for tax payments for the last three business days of June from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., including the lunch hour.
Payments in person can be made at the County Administration Office located at 10001-84 Avenue in Clairmont. As well, payments can be made at any major banking institution, bank machine, over telephone or internet banking, or by mail. Please ensure that payments made through these methods are postmarked for the last business day of June.
A three percent (3%) penalty will be applied to current taxes and arrears if payment is received after the last business day of June, and an additional 12 percent (12%) for payments made after October 31, Annually.
Property owners who haven't received their tax notice or have recently purchased property in the County of Grande Prairie should immediately contact the County tax office at 780-513-3968 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
If your address was changed by Canada Post and you have not contacted the County, please do so immediately. Canada Post cannot forward your new mailing address to our office. The County of Grande Prairie must receive authorization from the property owner(s) to change mailing information on property tax records. It can be emailed to email@example.com; faxed to 780-539-9880; filled out by County Administration over the telephone at 780-532-9722; or in person or mailed to the County Administration Office located at 10001 84 Ave, Clairmont, AB T8X 5B2.
