Trail Maintenance Updates

The Parks and Recreation department is responsible for winter trail maintenance at nine locations across the County. Regardless of the timing of the maintenance activity, all County trail users are recommended to use caution and anticipate changing winter conditions. Please note that all County trails require dogs to be on leash and pet waste be disposed of properly. Dog bags and garbage cans provided on most trails.

Service Levels

When responding to significant snowfall, priority has been assigned according to the purpose of the trail. 

  • Priority 1 (essential pedestrian access) = cleared within 24 hours 
  • Priority 2 (pedestrian access + recreation) = cleared within 48 hours
  • Priority 3 (primarily recreation) = cleared within 72 hours
