Public hearings are an opportunity for Council to hear from anyone affected by proposed bylaws or resolutions, including proposed amendments to the Land Use Bylaw or new or amended Area Structure Plans, prior to making a decision on the matter.

Public hearings are scheduled during regular Council meetings and begin around 1:00 pm. You can speak at the hearing or provide written comments in advance. Written submissions must be received by 4:30pm the Thursday before the scheduled hearing date. Note any information you provide may be made public subject to the provisions of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act. If you wish to speak at a hearing, you will be invited to do so by the Chair as per the Procedural Bylaw. Land Use Bylaw Amendments - Bylaw #2680

  1.  The purpose of the amendment is to designate parts of NE-3-75-6-W6; NW-3-75-6-W6; SE-3-75-6-W6; SW-3-75-6-W6; and SW-10-75-6-W6 located north of TWP RD 750 at RGE RD 63 from the Agricultural (AG) district to Intensive Recreation (IR) district to allow for the development of a shooting range. Please note: This hearing was recessed to allow the Provincial disposition to be completed prior to Council making a decision on the Land Use Bylaw amendment. Once a final decision has been reached by the Province, this public hearing will be rescheduled. Notice of the new date will be sent to all persons who have provided written comments. All written comments from the original public hearing and any provided prior to the Thursday immediately preceding the new date will be included in the agenda package for the new public hearing.
