Public hearings are an opportunity for Council to hear from anyone affected by proposed bylaws or resolutions, including proposed amendments to the Land Use Bylaw or new or amended Area Structure Plans, prior to making a decision on the matter.

Public hearings are scheduled during regular Council meetings beginning at 1:00 pm in the order they appear on the agenda. The length of individual hearings can vary, therefore exact start times for specific applications cannot be provided.

You can speak at the hearing or provide written comments in advance. Written submissions must be received by 4:30pm the Thursday before the scheduled hearing date. Note any information you provide may be made public subject to the provisions of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act. If you wish to speak at a hearing, you will be invited to do so by the Chair as per the Procedural Bylaw. Land Use Bylaw Amendments - Bylaw # 2680

1.The purpose of this amendment is to designate part of NE-23-74-5-W6 located on the West side of RGE RD 51 South of the intersection with TWP RD 744 from Agricultural (AG) to Country Residential (CR-5) to accommodate a proposed multi-lot subdivision of 2residential lots, and 1 Stub Road. 2.The purpose of this amendment is to designate part of SW-36-71-8-W6 located on the East side of RGE RD 81, South of the intersection with TWP RD 715A from Agricultural (AG) to Country Residential (CR-5) to accommodate a proposed subdivision of one (1) residential lot. File PLLUB20250122

       4. SPECIAL REQUIREMENT: ACCESSORY BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES AND DWELLING
            All accessory buildings, structures and dwelling units shall be set back at a minimum distance of 30m(100 feet) from the front lot line and 15 m (50) from all other lot lines.


      5. SPECIAL REQUIREMENT: CONDITIONS FOR RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENT
           Applications for a new residential use development permit within a Confined Feeding Operation (CFO)
may be approved as a discretionary use, provided that the dwelling is associated with the operations of
the CFO. If approved, the development permit may include a condition of approval requiring a restrictive
covenant, which outlines the potential risks associated with CFO. Additionally, the applicant of CFO owner
may be required to provide a written waiver to the satisfaction of the Development Authority.
