Inspections

Societies are encouraged to do their own monthly or quarterly building inspections. Every second year the County's Risk Management and Insurance Coordinator will inspect the grounds and buildings.

Any new or updated properties, including renovations, should be photographed and values discussed with the Risk Management and Insurance Coordinator.

A Facility Inspection form is available to assist societies with their inspections and to allow societies to prepare for their inspection with the County Coordinator. Contact the Risk Management and Insurance Coordinator by e-mail to request a copy.

Approval

The County's Risk Management and Insurance Coordinator will review insurance requests and conduct an inspection of the society's grounds and buildings. Any identified deficiencies must be corrected before the society's application is submitted for final approval.

Once the Coordinator is satisfied that all conditions are met, the application will be submitted to County Council for final approval.
