It Takes a Volunteer
Celebrating volunteers in our community for a third year!
Volunteers in our community make a lasting impact through their generosity and dedication. As we launch the third year of the 'It Takes a Volunteer' program, we're excited to continue recognizing the incredible individuals and organizations who give their time to make the County a better place.
Since 2023, we've received dozens of worthy nominees, showcasing them on our Volunteer Wall of Fame and presenting them with an appreciation package. We've celebrated 19 organizations and 24 individuals, from passionate community leaders to dedicated teams making a difference.
We're looking forward to an even bigger and better 2025 It Takes a Volunteer program, especially as we continue highlighting youth volunteers' impact in our communities!
Nominations for 2025 Program are now closed.

The Benefits of Volunteering
Volunteers describe many personal benefits beyond giving back to their community, including the opportunity to meet new people, learn new skills, and share their interests and hobbies with others. Volunteerism can enhance job applications and further careers, as well as positively impact mental health and wellbeing. There are many volunteer opportunities throughout the County to fit any schedule or interest. Learn more about opportunities to volunteer in your community by contacting FCSS at 780-532-9727 or send us an email.
