Paying Property Taxes

The County of Grande Prairie collects property taxes to help pay for services, facilities and projects in the county. Property taxes are calculated based on the assessed value of your property and multiplying it by the appropriate tax rate. We have different tax rates for different assessment classes, including residential, non-residential, farmland, machinery and equipment and linear property.

Due Date

Property taxes are due and payable on the last business day of June.
A penalty of three per cent will be applied on July 1, followed by a second penalty of 12 per cent on November 1, for a total of 15 per cent.
