Accessing Transfer Stations

County of Grande Prairie residents can access transfer stations free of charge to dispose of household solid  waste and recycling.  Proof of residency may be required.

Demmitt Transfer Station

Hours of operation: Tuesday and Sunday from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm

Location: From Demmitt, head 1.5 km Southeast to Range Road 131 and 3.2 km South.  NW 13-74-13-W6M,

Rural Address: 742083 RGE RD 131

Elmworth Transfer Station

Hours of operation: Wednesday and Saturday from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm

Location: From Elmworth, head West on Hwy 722 and North on Range Road 115. NE 18-70-11-W6M

Rural Address: 702068 RGE RD 115

Teepee Creek Transfer Station

Hours of operation: Tuesday and Thursday from 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm and Saturday from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm.

Location: From Teepee Creek, head 1.6 km East to Hwy 733 and 8.8 km North.  NE 33-74-3-W6M

Agricultural and Industrial Waste

Agricultural and industrial waste can be disposed of at the Clairmont Centre for Recycling & Waste Management or the West Grande Prairie Regional Landfill.

Household solid waste is accepted at the Transfer Stations.
