Back to SearchThe Family and Community Support Services (FCSS) teams at the City of Grande Prairie, County of Grande Prairie and towns of Beaverlodge, Sexsmith and Wembley are looking to honour deserving locals and groups in the social services sector at the Annual Passionate Heart Awards.
Nominations are welcome for people and organizations who contribute significantly to their community, enhance social services in the region, and are dedicated to improving quality of life.
Award categories include:
- Exceptional Service for front-line staff with two more years of experience in the following professions:
- Policing Services
- Child and Family Services
- Youth Services
- Social Services
- Education
- Exceptional Team for non-profit social agencies or social services teams.
- Business Award for businesses that provide outstanding support to developing the community.
- Chris Henderson Lifetime Service Award for individuals with 10+ years of significant social service in the community.
Nomination forms and other details are available at www.cityofgp.com/passionateheart or www.countygp.ab.ca/passionateheart. The deadline for nominations is January 17, 2023.
Recipients of the Passionate Heart Awards will be announced and honoured at the Passionate Heart Celebration, taking place at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, February 14, 2023, at Bonnetts Energy Centre in the City of Grande Prairie. Tickets to the luncheon are $25.00 and can be purchased online at bonnettsenergycentre.com.
