The public is asked to avoid The Clairmont Centre for Recycling and Waste Management as crews work to get a fire under control. 

The Regional Fire Service urges the public to stay away from Range Road 63 north of Township Road 724 as water is being transported via trucks to battle the blaze. Crews from the Clairmont, Dunes and Sexsmith stations were dispatched just after 1 a.m.

Heavy smoke is visible however there is minimal risk to the public. 

The facility is temporarily closed. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
