Construction on Clairmont North and 107A Avenue from 100 Street to 98a Street in the hamlet of Clairmont is set to start Thursday, July 15.

The anticipated completion date of the project is late-July, weather dependent.

The work involves adding a new layer of pavement and can include minor spot fixes and milling the road surface.

The red highlighted area on the below map indicates where the road construction will take place.

Traffic may experience delays over the duration of the project. Speed will be reduced in the construction zones. As well, traffic may be reduced to a single alternating lane, be temporarily detoured or have rough non-gravel driving surfaces. Motorists are advised to obey all signs, flag persons, exercise extreme caution when travelling through the site and near crews and equipment and allow extra time for travel.

The County is investing a total of $50.1 million in new capital road and bridge projects this year. Planned construction includes 57 km of road surfacing including the paving of gravel roads, surfaced road overlays, and re-construction. The County thanks motorists for their patience and cooperation throughout the construction season.
