The County is asking all eligible residents to get out and vote in the 2021 Municipal Election, to be held on Monday, October 18. Voting stations in each of the nine electoral divisions where residents vote for their Councillor will open at 10 a.m. and be kept open continuously until 8 p.m.

“Municipal elections are the best opportunity for residents to make their opinions heard and help shape local government,” said Carol Gabriel, Returning Officer. “All eligible residents are encouraged to get out and cast their vote to influence those important matters that make an impact close to home, like levels of service, budget, taxes and land use to name a few.”

“County residents can cast their ballot at Advance Polls today, Wednesday, October 13 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., and again this Saturday, October 16 from 11 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at one of three Advance Polling locations – Evergreen Park, the Sexsmith Civic Centre or the Hythe Legion.”

Residents are encouraged to head to the polls even if their division has been acclaimed to participate in the Provincial Senate and Referendum Vote and to vote for school board trustees.
