It’s a strategic tool that enables us to serve our residents with increased accuracy and foresight as we support sustainable growth.”

The census was conducted between April 3 and July 2, 2024, with data collected through online submissions and door-to-door visits.

The population count includes counted residents as well as the standard census practice of applying estimated average household size to homes where no count was possible due to refusal or inability to contact. Ministerial approval of the population numbers and estimates will occur with the publication of the 2024 Municipal Affairs Population List by January 2025.
