The County of Grande Prairie has selected Rob Beaupertuias the new General Manager, Financial and Business Planning Services. 

Joulia Whittleton, County Manager, says the role is an important one. “Financial and Business Planning Services manages the County's financial assets and oversees planning to ensure our financial stability and sustainability,” she says. “We look forward to the expertise that Rob brings to the County as the new General Manager and express our appreciation to Mark Schonken, current General Manager, for the positive changes to the organization.”  

Beaupertuis previously served as the CAO at the Town of Placentia in Newfoundland and the Director of Corporate Services for Mountain View County. He has an MBA from the Australian Institute of Business, BBA from Memorial University of Newfoundland, as well his CPA designation and experience in the oil and gas industry. 

Beaupertuis is looking forward to being part of the team that helps meet the County’s goals for a bright and sustainable future. “I’m delighted to join the County and continue to build on previous successes and meet the challenges of the future with transparency in fiscal reporting and policy development,” he says. 

The Financial and Business Planning Services Area consists of Cash Control, Business Advisory Services, Analysis and Reporting, Assessment, and Financial Services Administration. 

Beaupertuis starts his new role with the County on January 29, 2024.
