County Offices Now Open Over Lunch Hour

The decision to extend the County’s customer service hours was made at the Council meeting on August 12.  

Previously, offices were only open during the lunch hour temporarily to accommodate annual property tax payments near the end of June.  

The change to being open over the lunch hour supports the County's Strategic Plan which identifies “Customer Service Excellence” as a key outcome. 

The change means that County’s Administration, Transportation and Utilities, and Community Services Buildings will now be open over the lunch hour on weekdays, except for statutory holidays and on occasion to accommodate all-staff events.  

While the County will strive to deliver a range of services during the lunch hour, residents are encouraged to book an appointment by calling the County Administration and Transportation and Utilities Buildings at 780-532-9722to ensure staff availability for specific requests, such as development, road maintenance, and assessment or 780-532-9727to reach the Community Services Building. Hours of operation will be from 8:30 a.m.to 4:30 p.m.
