County fire crews have contained the wildland fire in the area of Elmworth at Township Road 700 between Range Road 112 and 113 and opened the road to traffic.
Fire crews will remain on scene for the night to monitor and then will work with Alberta Wildfire to finish extinguishing remaining hot spots over the next couple of days. Residents are advised there will still be smoke in the area due to smouldering hay bales, but there is no public threat.
