UPDATE 2, Final Update: July 20, 2024 10:00pm - Two wildfires south of Range Road 51 extinguished 
County Regional Fire Service responded to two wildfires south of Range Road 51 on the north bank of the Wapiti River. Both fires are now extinguished.  The area will be monitored by air over the next few days.

UPDATE 1: July 20, 2024 6:10pm - Two wildfires south of Range Road 51 are now classified as being held 

County Regional Fire Service is responding to two wildfires south of Range Road 51 on the north bank of the Wapiti River. The fires are now being held. There is currently no threat to the public. 

Both fires are located south of the fireguard and are being actioned by Alberta Wildfire air tankers and County Crews 

The fires are located in the Wapiti trails area. The public is still asked to stay clear of the area to allow aircraft and firefighters to conduct their work.

County Regional Fire Service is responding to two wildfires south of Range Road 51 on the north bank of the Wapiti River. The fires are near each other. There is currently no threat to the public. 

Both fires are located south of the fireguard and are being actioned by Alberta Wildfire air tankers. County fire crews are working on gaining access by ground.  

The fires are located in the Wapiti trails area. The public is asked to stay clear of the area to allow aircraft and firefighters to conduct their work.
