Back to SearchThe fire at a business on Range Road 74, at Township Road 713 has been extinguished.
Range Road 74 between Highway 43 and Township 720 is now reopened to traffic and no injuries were reported.
Crews from County of Grande Prairie Regional Service Clairmont and Dunes stations, along with Sexsmith and Wembley fire departments, responded to the call at approximately 9:00 a.m.
The fire started outside, destroying five passenger vehicles and one commercial vehicle. Crews were able to save the building and the business will be able to continue operations.
The County Public Works department assisted with traffic control during the road closure and provided equipment to remove unstable roofing material as part of the response.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the County Fire Marshal.
