Community Supports and Services: Help Shape a Stronger Community

The County wants to understand what it’s like using community supports and social services to help improve the well-being of its residents who use them.

Residents are invited to share their feedback through facilitated discussions and by filling out a survey. Answers will help shape the future planning and delivery of community services throughout the County.

“When considering future planning and program delivery, we need to know what the strengths, gaps and opportunities are,” says Reeve Amanda McDonald. “By participating, residents help us understand how to best support them in the years to come.”

Community Engagement Sessions

The County has two opportunities to share feedback in person:

Date: Tuesday, September 22, 2026

Survey

Residents are invited to share their experiences through a survey. The survey will take about 20 minutes to complete, and can be accessed through https://engagecountygp.ca/communitysupports.

Survey dates: September 14 to October 14, 2026.

Paper copies can also be filled out at the Wellington Resource Centre and the Hythe FCSS (Family and Community Support Services Office).

“We want to understand what it’s like living in the County and accessing supports and programs,” explains Melodie McCracken, Director of Family and Community Support Services at the County. "The services and supports that strengthen a community work best when they're informed by the people who use them."

After completing the anonymous survey, participants can enter a prize draw by completing a separate entry form. Respondents will be redirected to the form after submitting their survey.
