Planning Hearings and Notices

Public hearings are an opportunity for Council to hear from anyone affected by proposed bylaws or resolutions, including proposed amendments to the Land Use Bylaw or new or amended Area Structure Plans, prior to making a decision on the matter.

Approved Development Permits for discretionary uses are posted for a 21-day appeal period. During this time, decisions may be appealed to the appropriate appeal board. A Development Approval does not become final until the appeal period has ended.
