County Administration Building Entrance Closing for Minor Renovations

County Administration Building Entrance Closing for Minor Renovations
The County of Grande Prairie is advising residents that the County Administration building entrance will be closed to the public and all staff for minor renovations starting at 8:30 a.m. on Friday, August 29 and reopening on October 6, 2025, tentatively. During the renovations, all public customer service, including walk-ins and scheduled appointments, will be available in the Transportation and Utilities building located adjacent and to the south of the Administration building.

The Administration building entrance, Council Chambers, and public washrooms will be open for all scheduled public meetings including Council and Committee of the Whole. A schedule of public meetings is available on our website at countygp.ab.ca/council.

Visitor parking and disability parking remain in the same locations between the Administration entrance and Transportation and Utilities entrance. Additionally, there are two 15-minute parking areas immediately outside both buildings to be used by the public and for deliveries or loading.

These minor renovations are being done to enhance the Administration building’s overall capacity and functionality. This includes creating new shared working spaces and flexible meeting rooms that support a collaborative environment and efficient use of space while improving safety and security for the public and staff.
