County of Grande Prairie Hosting Festival to Celebrate Alberta Day

The County of Grande Prairie is excited to host a 2024 Alberta Day Festival on Sunday, September 1 from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The event will take place at the Bezanson Community Event Centre, located at 9901 100th Avenue in Bezanson.

The Alberta Day Festival, open to all County and City residents, will feature a diverse range of attractions, including food trucks, complimentary carnival games, bouncy houses, and face painting. Attendees can explore local culture and historical organizations at the Community Group showcase and find local vendors and Alberta-made products at the Alberta Market, presented in partnership with the Bezanson Agricultural Society. Additionally, the main stage will host a series of inspiring speeches and performances throughout the festival.

“We are thrilled to celebrate Alberta Day with our community,” says Reeve Bob Marshall. “The festival provides a wonderful opportunity for residents of all ages to come together and honour Alberta’s rich history, heritage, and culture.
