County of Grande Prairie Launches “Rooted in the County” - Agriculture Video Series 

The County of Grande Prairie is proud to announce the launch of Rooted in the County of Grande Prairie, a new 17-episode video series celebrating the people, passion, and innovation behind the County’s agricultural sector. 

The full video series will be available on the County of Grande Prairie’s YouTube channel, with one new episode released each Friday beginning February 27. 

The series highlights a diverse range of agricultural operations across the County, including agri-tourism experiences and production-focused businesses that form the backbone of the regional economy. 

“Agriculture is foundational to who we are as a County,” said Cindy Paton, Economic Development Officer, County of Grande Prairie. “Through Rooted in the County, we are sharing the real stories behind the operations that drive our economy, steward our land, and shape our community identity.” 

Each episode features local producers and operators sharing the history of their businesses, the challenges and opportunities within the sector, and their passion for agriculture in the Peace Region. 

“This series is about more than promotion — it’s about recognition,” Paton added. “Whether a business welcomes visitors onto their property or focuses solely on production, every operation plays a critical role in our regional success. These stories help build awareness, appreciation, and pride in our agricultural sector.” 

Grande Prairie Regional Tourism is partnering with the County to amplify agri-tourism episodes that offer farm-to-fork experiences, tours, and on-farm events, further strengthening connections between municipalities and the local tourism sector.
