Regional Enforcement Services and RCMP Quarterly Reports — The Committee received the 2025 Regional Enforcement Services quarterly reports from Administration and RCMP members from the Grande Prairie Rural and Beaverlodge detachments. The reports included statistics and information about on-call services, public engagement activities, patrols, joint forces operations, new staff, training, and the Regional Animal Pound.
Regional Fire Services Fourth Quarter Report — The Committee received the 2025 Fourth Quarter Report from County Regional Fire Services which provided an overview of their 2025 Fire call statistics, deployments, fire prevention activities, operations, and staff training.
2025 Third Quarter Financial Reports — The Committee received an information report from Administration outlining the County’s third quarter financial reports.
Town of Beaverlodge Community Bus Service to Hythe — The Committee received an information report from Administration about the Town of Beaverlodge Community Bus Service expanding its operations to serve residents in the Hamlet of Hythe.
Passionate Heart Celebration Update — The Committee received an information report from Administration about the 2026 Passionate Heart Celebration on February 13, 2026. Passionate Heart nominations are open until January 23, 2026.
Pipestone Creek Campground Access — The Committee received an information report from Administration. At this time, the existing road meets current standards, and no alternative access is required.
Brainard Lake Recreational Lease — The Committee recommended to Council to direct Administration to work with the Government of Alberta in transferring the Brainard Lake Recreational Lease located approximately 8.4 miles northwest of the Hamlet of Hythe to Alberta Wildfire Services and recommended to Council to direct Administration to bring back the campground development plans to a future Committee of the Whole Meeting.
Generations Readers Theatre — Representatives from Generations Readers Theatre, a Peace Country Historical Society volunteer committee presented an overview of their program to the Committee and highlighted their efforts to strengthen intergenerational connections and enhance local cultural programming.
Fleet Asset Disposal Proceeds — The Committee received an information report from Administration detailing fleet asset disposal proceeds received in 2024 and 2025.
Fire Underwriters Survey Information — The Committee received as information a report from Administration about the Fire Underwriters Survey information about fire apparatus insurance.
The next Regular Council Meeting will take place on January 12, 2026. The next Committee of the Whole Meeting will take place on January 23, 2026.
