Family Winter Frostival Brings Seasonal Fun to Hommy Park Campground

Family Winter Frostival Brings Seasonal Fun to Hommy Park Campground

The County of Grande Prairie’s Family Winter Frostival is back, bringing seasonal fun to Hommy Park Campground! Join us on Sunday, March 2, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. for an afternoon of winter activities for all ages.

“This event is a highlight of the winter season, giving residents the chance to enjoy quality time with family and friends while embracing the beauty of our County during the winter season,” says Reeve Bob Marshall. “There is something for everyone to enjoy.”

Frostival offers sleigh rides, snow painting, and a cozy bonfire to keep warm. Explore the trails and join us for a guided snowshoe walk with County staff at 1:00 p.m.— an excellent option for beginners! Bring your own snowshoes or reserve a pair from the County (limited availability, first-come, first-served).

“We’re proud to host events that promote healthy, active lifestyles while bringing our community together in meaningful ways,” adds Reeve Marshall.

Admission is free, but advance registration on the County's website is required to help us plan for refreshments.

Please note that activities are subject to weather conditions, and the event will be cancelled if temperatures, including wind chill, drop below -20°C.
