Fire Engine Replacement — Council approved the request for additional funding for the purchase of one Maxi Sabre Fire Engine replacement for $79,245.64 to be added to the existing budget of $1,226,900 for a total amount of $1,306,145.64.

Physician Recruitment and Retention Grant Applications Approved — Council approved the following Physician Recruitment and Retention grant requests:

• $10,000 per Nurse Practitioner to Tegan Ruether and Chantelle Gray, in support of their medical practice at the Wembley Medical Clinic, effective January 1, 2026.

County Library Board Financial Review 2025-2027 — Council approved RSM Canada LLP to conduct the financial review of the County of Grande Prairie Library Board, following the Libraries Act.

Request for Financial Operating Assistance — Council deferred the request from West Peace Medical Centre for Financial Operating Assistance to a future Regular Council meeting following the review and approval of Policy M13 — Physician Recruitment and Retention.

Interprovincial Committee Terms of Reference Updated — Council approved the Interprovincial Committee Terms of Reference as presented, with recent changes to meeting frequency and attendance.

Aquatera Utility Bylaw Update — Council gave final reading to Bylaw #3274 — Aquatera Utility Bylaw as presented to adjust rates to support capital infrastructure.

Grande Prairie Regional Tourism Association Membership Fee Increase — Council received as information a report from Administration about the Grande Prairie Regional Tourism Association Membership Fee increase for 2026.

Sponsorship Requests — Council approved the $400 sponsorship request from the Grande Prairie Disc Golf Club for the Canadian Disc Golf National Championship. 

Council directed Administration to provide a silent auction item for the Grande Prairie Fastball Association Annual Awards Banquet and Gala.

The next Regular Council Meeting will take place on January 26, 2026. The next Committee of the Whole Meeting will take place on January 23, 2026.
