Outdoor Adventures Return at the County of Grande Prairie’s Winter Frostival

Residents can look forward to the long-awaited return of the County of Grande Prairie’s annual Winter Family Frostival event, taking place on Saturday, February 28, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Pipestone Creek Campground.

“Events like this remind us that through the winter months there is still fun and joy to be had,” says Reeve Amanda McDonald. “When neighbours gather, share a laugh, and take in the magic of the season, it shows exactly what makes this region such a remarkable place to call home.”

Residents can drop in anytime throughout the day to enjoy a variety of free activities, including:

  • S’mores and hot chocolate by the campfire
  • Snow painting
  • Wagon rides
  • Snowshoeing — bring your own pair or borrow one of the County’s (limited availability; first-come, first-served)

Please note: the event will be cancelled if outdoor temperatures and wind chill drop below -20C.

Registration is free and helps us ensure we have enough supplies. Find all the details and reserve your free tickets at www.countygp.ab.ca/frostival.
