The County of Grande Prairie is advising motorists of extended construction closures along Range Road 63. Beginning at 7:00 p.m. tonight, Thursday, July 31, Range Road 63 will be closed between Highway 43 and Township Road 724 until 7:00 a.m. on Friday, August 1.

Also beginning tonight, at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, July 31, there will be single lane alternating traffic between the Clairmont Centre for Recycling & Waste Management and Highway 672. Single lane alternating traffic will continue until 7:00 a.m. on Sunday, August 3. Drivers are reminded to follow posted signage, temporary traffic lights, obey flagging personnel, and use alternate routes.

During the closures, access will be granted to residents and business employees located along the affected route. The route will be closed to all other traffic.

The Clairmont Centre for Recycling & Waste Management will remain open and access is available via Township Road 724.

Once closures have ended, Range Road 63, from Highway 43 to Highway 672 (Emerson Trail), will remain under construction with single lane alternating traffic and flagging personnel in place between 7:00 p.m. until 7:00 a.m. nightly for approximately three weeks, weather dependent.
