Road Work on 84 Avenue in Clairmont Begins Tuesday

The County of Grande Prairie is advising residents of upcoming road construction on 84 Avenue (Bauman Drive), located east of Highway 2 in the Hamlet of Clairmont. Work is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, June 2, 2026.

Crews will be completing asphalt repairs, including milling and paving, to improve the condition of the roadway. The work is expected to be completed in approximately one week, weather permitting.

During construction, traffic will be accommodated; however, drivers should expect intermittent lane closures that will significantly impact travel in the following areas:

• Highway 2 southbound turning lanes
• 84 Avenue in both directions
• 99 Street southbound

Drivers are encouraged to avoid the area if possible and plan alternate routes. Remember to follow all posted signage, obey flagging personnel, and expect delays and increased traffic volumes while work is underway.
