The County of Grande Prairie is deeply saddened by yesterday’s tragic shooting in Tumbler Ridge, British Columbia. Our hearts go out to the students, staff, families, and community members and everyone who is impacted by this unimaginable event.

To honour the victims, the County of Grande Prairie will lower all County flags for the next seven days, starting at noon today.

Additionally, the County’s Family and Community Supports Services is working closely with the Peace Wapiti Public School Division (PWPSD) to support students and will provide added Community School Liaison Counsellors to the West County schools.
