Upcoming Hythe Road Construction and Sanitary Replacement
The County of Grande Prairie will begin construction to replace sanitary mains in the Hamlet of Hythe starting the week of August 4, 2026, subject to weather conditions.
The project is expected to be completed by mid-October.
Construction will take place along:

103 Street
-
101 Avenue
-
105 Street
Residents and motorists can expect periodic road closures, parking restrictions, and detours throughout the project. Reduced speed limits will be in effect within the construction zone.
The County asks all motorists, pedestrians and residents to obey posted signage and directions from flag persons, exercise caution when travelling through the area, and allow extra time for travel.
The sanitary main replacement is part of the County's ongoing investment in maintaining and improving essential underground infrastructure to ensure reliable service for residents.
