Weed Warrior Program

Weed Warriors is a win-win fundraising program that helps combat scentless chamomile and other noxious weeds in the County of Grande Prairie.

Participating groups begin the day with an educational session and orientation. They then head to a pre-selected site to spend half a day removing weeds alongside the County’s Agriculture Assistants. Once the site has been cleared, the group receives a $500 donation.

Each year, two additional bonus incentives are available: $100 for the group that removes the most weeds (by weight) and $100 for the group that shows the most team spirit.
