Message from the Reeve
Thank you for your interest in the County of Grande Prairie. I'm pleased to welcome you to explore our refreshed website, launched in 2025 following an extensive review and update. This included a more intuitive layout and significantly improved search engine to ensure you find what you need, when you need it most.
The website was shaped by feedback from County Council, staff, residents, and business owners. A website is never static nor complete; as our County and our services grow and evolve, so too will this platform.
Here’s a quick overview of how our new website was built with you in mind:
-
Home, Property & Environment: Access to building and planning permits, municipal utilities, roads, emergency services, and more.
-
Parks, Recreation & Community: There’s so much to see and do! Discover County libraries, local events, recreation opportunities, community grants, FCSS, and history.
-
Agriculture & Livestock: Explore programs for farmers and landowners.
-
Business, Building & Development: Economic development, land use and zoning, maps, and Planning hearings and notices.
-
Council & Administration: Meet your Councillor, access meeting agendas and livestreaming, learn what each department does, and find County bylaws and policies.
Residents told us they need quick access to important and time-sensitive information. Our homepage was built to include several quick links to popular topics such as fire bans and restrictions, maps, our top stories, and job opportunities.
We also want you to have the latest news when you need it. Here's how you can receive ongoing updates:
