Beaverlodge, Sexsmith & Wembley Permits

As of March 1, 2024 The County of Grande Prairie will be the primary location for all in-take of Safety Codes Applications for The Town of Beaverlodge, The Town of Sexsmith and the Town of Wembley!

The County of Grande Prairie is accredited and contracted to provide Safety Code Services for other municipalities, including Beaverlodge, Sexsmith, and Wembley.

If you are ready for an inspection in one of these communities, inspection requests are made directly with the County.

Any and all Development Permits for the Town of Beaverlodge must be applied for at the Beaverlodge Town Office. For more information please visit the Town of Beaverlodge website or call 780-354-2201. 

The County issues all Building, Electrical, Plumbing, Gas, and Private Sewage permits on behalf the Town of Beaverlodge. These permits and their fees include all necessary inspections. 

To apply for a Safety Code Permit for the Town of Beaverlodge, please fill out of the applications below and submit the required documents to plan@countygp.ab.ca

  • Beaverlodge Non-Residential Application - This form is for commercial, industrial, institutional and religious buildings. It should also be used for demolition of these types of structures. 
  • Beaverlodge Residential Application - This includes single family dwellings, manufactured or modular homes, decks, basement development, shed and accessory buildings, or small renovation projects. It should also be used for demolition of these types of structures. 
  • Beaverlodge Electrical Application - Commercial and Industrial installations will require a Master Electrician to apply. Residential applications may be applied for by the residing landowner. 
  • Beaverlodge Gas Application - Commercial and Industrial installations will require a Journeyman Gasfitter to apply. Residential applications may be applied for by the residing landowner. 
  • Beaverlodge Plumbing Application - Commercial and Industrial installations will require a Journeyman Plumber to apply. Residential applications may be applied for by the residing landowner. 
  • Beaverlodge Sewage Application - The majority of sewage installations do require a certified sewage installer to apply for the permit. Please call our office at 780-513-3950 to outline what your installation will require.
