You will need the following for an in-ground or permanent above-ground swimming pool:

• Completed Development Permit Application
• Completed Building Permit Application to ensure construction meets the Alberta Building Code
• Gas permit to install or modify all gas-fired swimming pool heaters
• Electrical permit

Hot tub installations may require you to pull an Electrical Permit
