Wind and Solar Arrays

Wind and solar arrays are a growing source of power supply among residents in the County. It is important to be aware of requirements around the construction and placement of these utilities. If these features are being constructed as part of an existing building or structure, they may not require a Development Permit, but will require an Electrical Permit. Wind and solar arrays that are being added to a site as a stand alone structure will require both a Development Permit and Electrical Permit.
