Winter Day Use Hours will begin Saturday December 5th. Visit the park between 8:30 AM and 4:30 PM on weekends and holidays Mondays. The Park does not open for Winter Day Use if the Environment Canada daily temperature with a wind chill feels like -20 Celsius or colder.
COVID-19 restrictions and precautions remain in place.
Loop D sites will not have power until late June 2021 due to ongoing repairs to the electrical system.
Located south of Wembley on the banks of the Wapiti River. Overnight camping, group camping and day use are all available.
99 sites and 2 group areas. Loops A, D and E as well as Group Area 1 have 30-amp service. RV sanitary dump station is located at the park entrance. Non-potable water taps are available.
The park is located near one of the richest areas for fossil finds in western Canada and the largest site in the world for Pachyrhinosaurus fossils. Philip J. Currie Dinosaur Museum in Wembley exists because of this rich bone bed.
Amenities include a group day-use shelter, non-potable water tap, indoor shower and washrooms, outdoor restrooms, 2 playgrounds, hiking trails, ball diamond.
Firewood is included with camping fees.
Boat access to the Wapiti River is through the Campground.
Rates
$26/night individual un-serviced campsite includes one hard-sided camping unit, one tent and one vehicle. $10 online reservation fee.
$36/night individual powered campsite includes one hard-sided camping unit, one tent and one vehicle. $10 online reservation fee.
$360/night Group Site #1 includes 10 powered sites, group cook shelter, outdoor restrooms, firepit, small playground, non-potable water tap.
$130/night Group Site #2 includes 5 un-serviced sites, firepit, picnic tables. Each additional unit is $26/night to a maximum of 10 units.
$125/ half-day private Group Day Use Area includes gazebo, firepit, picnic tables
Only Visa or Mastercard are accepted. No cash, debit, cheques or American Express. Check out time is 12 PM.

Review the Event and Group Use Directive if you are considering hosting a special event.
- Reservations are only accepted using the online reservation tool.
- Preview the available sites using the map
- Select and reserve a site based on your needs and preferences
- Pay fees online via Visa or Mastercard
- If you have a reservation you may proceed straight to your assigned campsite upon arrival
- To extend a reservation once on site, use the self-reservation kiosk. The same campsite may not be available for the extension, and you may need to change sites.
- Reservations are non-transferrable.
- Occupants of multiple sites booked under one name will be asked to complete a paper registration to identify the persons staying at each site.
- Park Hosts can assist with general inquiries but cannot take reservations by phone or email.
