The County of Grande Prairie strives to be good stewards of the environment in which we all live. Here you can learn more about the programs, services and information available.

Agriculture and Livestock

• The Agriculture department provides services and programs as directed by the Agricultural Service Board including information and resources about water quality from the Rural Extension program. 

Mountain Pine Beetle Program

• Protect our forests and communities from fire by removing the beetle-killed trees.

Railway Questions and Concerns 

• Information and resources to address concerns around railways including environment and safety.

Stormwater Ponds

• Stormwater ponds are an important part of our environment and wastewater handling systems. They are nice to look at but not safe for recreational use. 

Pest and Disease 

• The County practices an integrated management approach to weed management.
