Casey the Fire Dog
The La Glace Fire Station is also home to Casey, the Fire Dog. A Dalmatian, Casey has served as a therapy dog for the fire service for over a year. He plays a dual role as a mascot for fire prevention education in schools and a comfort companion for firefighters across the County. Casey's first deployment was during the Dunes West Wildfire, where he provided support to firefighters and first responders at the staging area. Casey also visits schools to help teach fire safety lessons, demonstrating Stop, Drop, and Roll and how to crawl under smoke in an emergency.
