West Grande Prairie County Regional Transfer Station

Please be advised the West Grande Prairie County Transfer Station Facility will be CLOSED to the public from August 5th to September 20th, 2025 for upgrades and renovations.

Please use one of the other County transfer stations or recycling depots. For the Clairmont Centre for Recycling and Waste Management you will be required to present ID or proof of County residency.

Hours of Operation

The West Grande Prairie Regional Transfer Station will be closed from August 5, 2025 until September 20, 2025 for upgrades.

Open Tuesday to Saturday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Open Statutory Holidays except Christmas, Boxing Day and New Year's Day. Click here for more information.

Accessing the West Grande Prairie County Regional Transfer Station

The West Grande Prairie County Transfer Station accepts residential household solid waste and recycling, and agricultural recycling. Users will unload waste by hand into the available bins.

** Please note: This facility is currently operating as a transfer station until further notice. All loads must be unloaded by hand into bins. Large loads may not be accepted and / or redirected to Clairmont Landfill. Fees may apply at the Clairmont Landfill. Please call 780-567-4194 for any questions.

County of Grande Prairie residents access the facility free of charge for solid waste and recycling. Special handling items are subject to disposal fees check out the Standard Tipping Fees for pricing.
