Compliance
The County works in cooperation with citizens and landowners to ensure safe liveable communities. The Land Use Bylaw and its various zoning districts, are used to manage the development which is acceptable on private land within the County.
Real Property Report Compliance Requests and Land Use Concerns can be made through the Compliance Email.
Whether you are buying or selling a property, a certificate of compliance and a real property report can help ensure you meet the requirements of the Land Use Bylaw.
Landowners, and Developers may have concerns with the misuse or development of a property.
A drainage easement is a legal agreement protecting drainage infrastructure; landowners must keep the area clear of obstructions and consult County Planning for compliance
The County manages development and land use with its Land Use Bylaw. This bylaw also regulates the process to enforces unauthorized development and misuse of land to protect neighbourhoods against unsafe and unauthorized development.
If you have concerns about how a property is being used, you can email Planning and Development Services. A Compliance Officer will investigate and follow up on your concern.
