This section includes reference information for candidates, their campaign disclosure documents, and the register of candidates for the 2025 municipal election.

Campaign Disclosure

Candidates for the 2025 Municipal Election are required by the Local Authorities Election Act to file their campaign and financial disclosure statements by the dates as listed below:

September 30, 2025	Reporting period for contributions received between January 1 to July 31, 2025.
March 1, 2026	Reporting period for contributions received between January 1 to December 31, 2025.

All candidates must submit campaign disclosure statements with the County of Grande Prairie.

Campaign disclosure statements must be filed:

Even if the candidate had no contributions or expense;
The campaign was self-funded;
Whether or not the candidate was elected;
Even if the candidate has withdrawn their nomination.

Register of Candidates

The Register of Candidates is a list of candidates that have filed their Notice of Intent to run in the 2025 municipal election.

New this year, candidates must file a Notice of Intent to Run as a candidate.

Candidates who plan to run in the 2025 municipal election can only accept campaign contributions and incur campaign expenses once their notice of intent to run is complete and they are added to the Register of Candidates.

Your Notice of Intent must be filed in person with the Returning Officer by arranging a delivery time in advance.
