Recreation Master Plan

In 2016 the County of Grande Prairie and City of Grande Prairie collaborated on a Joint Recreation Master Plan. The plan now serves as a framework for cooperation and a guidepost for the planning and development of recreation opportunities involving Beaverlodge, Sexsmith, Wembley, Hythe and the MD of Greenview.

The Grande Prairie Regional Recreation Committee was formed to implement the Joint Recreation Master Plan and continue to foster collaboration between municipal partners in recreation. The committee meets quarterly includes elected officials and members of administration for all seven partner municipalities.
