Scheduled Public Hearings

Public hearings are an opportunity for Council to hear from anyone affected by proposed bylaws or resolutions, including proposed amendments to the Land Use Bylaw or new or amended Area Structure Plans, prior to making a decision on the matter.
Public hearings are scheduled during regular Council meetings beginning at 1:00 pm in the order they appear on the agenda. The length of individual hearings can vary, therefore exact start times for specific applications cannot be provided.
You can speak at the hearing or provide written comments in advance. Written submissions must be received at least 5 days before the scheduled hearing date. Note any information you provide may be made public subject to the provisions of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act. If you wish to speak at a hearing, you will be invited to do so by the Chair as per the Procedural Bylaw. 1.The purpose of this amendment is to designate part of Lot 1 Blk 1 Plan 2220142 within SW-10-73-6-W6 located on the East side of RGE RD 63 from Agricultural (AG) to Rural Medium Industrial (RM-2) to accommodate a proposed subdivision. File # PLLUB20250558

3.The purpose of this amendment is to designate part of NE-10-73-6-W6 located West of RGE RD 62 and South of HWY 672 from Agricultural (AG) to Highway Industrial (RM-4) to accommodate a proposed subdivision. File # PLLUB20250613


5.The purpose of this amendment is to designate Lot 15 Block E Plan 2522352 within NW-13-73-11-W6 locate on 99 Ave in Hythe from General Industrial (M1) to Rural Industrial Direct Control (RM-DC) to allow for industrial development. File # PLLUB20250597

6.The purpose of this amendment is to revise the requirements of Section 40: Beaverodge Airport Direct Control (BA-DC) District to expand the scope and usability of this district. This amendment includes:
a. adding a list of uses that could be approved by a Development Officer rather than by Council
b. updating terminology used in the Discretionary uses under this district and the associated definitions and development regulations.

of NE-29-72-10-W6 and Portions of Road Plan 242 0932 lying within SE-29-72-10-W6
road plans to allow for their consolidation into proposed adjacent parcel(s). This consolidation would result in the County disposing of its interest in these portions of land. This consolidation will enable the County to secure a new road alignment through Pt. SE-29-72-10-W6 that would divert traffic to an upgraded intersection at HWY 671 & HWY 43 which will improve traffic flow and safety in the area.
Before the County can make a decision on the road closure we are required to hold a public hearing to gather input from anyone who may be impacted by this proposal. File # PLRDC20250568
